Anyway, I think the better question to ask regarding emerging technologies is Why does endurance matter to us?  Individual human life isn&#039;t particularly enduring (nor endearing in many cases).  So why do we carry these unreasonable expectations of endurance for every fad or trend.  What is it about us that we feel our creations have to have some perceived permanence in this whirlpool of technological chaos?  heck, will &quot;enduring&quot; endure?  that might be the best question yet!</description>
